TradeShield protection for sellers

TradeShield is Eldorado's protection for sellers: it covers you against payment fraud, and it explains why funds from sales are held for a short period before being released to your available balance.

How it works

🛡️ TradeShield turns on automatically when the buyer pays. It covers the order through delivery and any dispute, at no extra cost. Most orders are protected for 5 days. See the full list below.

What 🛡️ TradeShield protection covers:

  • Fraudulent payments

  • Payment provider disputes

What this means for you

  • The platform handles communication with payment providers

  • Your completed sale remains financially protected in accordance with platform rules

Fund release

TradeShield protects every order from the moment the buyer pays. Your funds are released after these 2 stages:

  1. Before the order is marked as Received. Once you mark the order as Delivered, the buyer has 3 days to confirm the delivery. If they don’t confirm, the order is marked as Received automatically after 3 days.

  2. After the order is marked as Received, the fund release period for your category starts (see the table below). This gives the buyer time to report issues and gives you time to resolve them directly. If needed, Eldorado steps in to help reach a resolution and support both parties.

Offers with automated delivery are covered for 3 days or until they are marked as received.

* Other categories that aren't Accounts or specific games mentioned above have a 5-day money hold period. For established sellers, this does not apply.

You’re an established seller if, in the last 180 days, you’ve had:

  • At least 200 orders

  • At least $3,000 in sales

  • A cancellation rate of 15% or lower (all games combined)

Eldorado reserves the right to change protection periods in the future.

When funds reach your balance

To work out when your funds will arrive, start from the date the order is marked Received, add your category’s fund release period, and allow up to 12 more hours for payment processing.

For example, a buyer purchases a gift card on October 8 and marks the order as Received 3 days later, on October 11. The 4-day hold starts on October 11 and ends on October 15, so your earnings reach your Eldorado balance on October 15, within 12 hours after the hold ends.

Once funds reach your account, you can withdraw from your balance using your chosen withdrawal option.
